JOB DESCRIPTION

HR/Payroll Administrator – Temporary

Snelling Staffing is currently hiring for a temporary HR/Payroll Administrator in the Baton Rouge area. The pay range is $25-$30 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit weekly payroll using PAYCHEX
  • Set up, process and maintain changes to employee files such as direct deposits, address changes and deductions
  • Managing time clocks, tracking payroll hours for temporary associates
  • Administer year-end processing including the generation and distribution of W-2 statements and ACA reporting
  • Prepare and submit required payroll reports by project
  • Assist with administrative aspects of benefits, audit benefit invoices, employee contributions, employee enrollments and terminations
  • Provide coordination and assistance to Department Heads and employees during Annual Enrollment for company benefits
  • Assist management with special projects as needed
  • Job postings through onboarding/new hire orientation.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and demonstrated application of employment laws and regulations (OSHA, multi-state Workers' Compensation, FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, etc)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Power Point & Excel.
  • Knowledge of Paychex payroll & Paychex HRIS software
  • 3+ years related experience. Must have a HR background with exposure to Corporate HR environment..
  • Ability to build rapport with internal customers and external clients. Excellent influencing, communication, conflict resolution, and presentation skills.
