Benefits Assistant/ HR Coordinator 

Immediate opening for a Benefits Assistant for a Religious organization located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana! Assists with the administration of a employees’ benefits, maintain and monitor employee records in electronic database. Provides high level of customer service to employees to ensure effective utilization of benefit plans and positive employee relations. Great Benefits offered! Salary is starting at $14.50-$15.00/hour Depending on Experience.    

Benefits Assistant Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reconciling high volume of invoices 
  • Must be able to work within established guidelines to comply with federal and state regulations and recordkeeping/administration requirements.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in handling difficult and/or sensitive situations.
  • Must maintain confidentiality in all transactions. 
  • Various Administrative responsibilities.
  • Ability to exercise good organizational and time management skills.
  • Multitask with various projects and priorities.

Benefits Assistant Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years’ experience with Electronic Benefit Data Systems REQUIRED.
  • Minimum of three years’ of Reconciling REQUIRED.
  • Direct Benefits Administration experience
  • Strong grammatical skills, attention to detail, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills essential. 
  • High School Diploma
  • Excellent typing/word processing skills.
  • MUST BE proficient in various computer programs to include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and Benefits database.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Accounting experience preferred
