Major Louisiana Financial Institution seeks experienced PRO to direct operations of the Mortgage Lending Department.  Manage staff activities including the origination, processing, closing, and funding of mortgage loans.  Develop and implement processes and procedures and build member business relationships.

Mortgage Loan Manager essential functions:

  • Develop and implement processes and procedures.
  • Monitor quality of loans originated by loan officers and ensures they are within Company policy guidelines.
  • Ensures all functions are in complete compliance with federal, state, regulatory, and Company policy and procedures.
  • Exercise managerial authority concerning staffing, performance appraisals, staffing recommendations, promotions, and terminations.
  • Oversee the pipeline of loan files by working with loan processors, underwriters, and closers to ensure successful and timely completion.
  • Work with other department management on inter-departmental processes and service standards.
  • Monitor rates and pricing for mortgage loan portfolio.

Mortgage Loan Manager requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field desired.
  • 4-8 years related Mortgage Lending experience desired.
  • 2 years minimum supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of real estate law and government regulations pertaining to residential mortgage.
  • Excellent and effective presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, work quickly; efficiently and accurately meet deadlines.
