Medical Precertification Coordinator

Snelling Staffing has an opening for a Medical Precertification Coordinator with a specialty medical clinic located in Baton Rouge! This position is full time with excellent benefits!  This position pays $15-$16/hr depending on experience.

Medical Pre-Cert Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Contacting health insurance for prior authorizations for surgery
• Verifying patient benefits
• Calculating pre-collection costs based on Clinic’s contracted rates
• Staying up to date on precertification requirements and insurance company updates

Medical Pre-Cert Requirements:

• High school diploma some college
• 1+ years of medical insurance experience preferred
• 1+ years experience in collections or billing preferred
• Knowledge of insurance and medical terminology
• Strong data entry skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
