Snelling Staffing has an immediate need for an Assistant Party Chief for a land surveying company with over 40 years of experience serving the Baton Rouge area. This will be a supervisory position paying in the range of $22 to $28 per hour depending on experience. This will be a direct hire position working full-time from the hours Monday through Friday 7:30am-3:30pm.

Assistant Party Chief Responsibilities:

• Must be able to perform the job duties of rodman and/or instrument man including cut lines, pop tops, run a level loop, run and trouble shoot robotic total stations and GPS instruments, analyze surveying data, among others.
• Memorize line codes and symbol codes
• Deal with adjacent landowners and clients when need arises in the field
• Run the project in the absence of the party chief
• Perform an ALTA survey
• Set up / start projects on the data collectors
• Perform calculations on the data collector to assist in locating and setting property corners
• Participate in all meetings to be lined out on the project

Position Requirements:

• MUST have VALID Driver’s License and CLEAN Driving Record
• Employment is subject to have a clean drug screen
• Previous surveying experience of 4-5 years is REQUIRED!!
• Needs excellent verbal communication skills and proper attention to detail
• Must be dependable and able to maintain a positive attitude throughout project
