Assistant Deli Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

Snelling Staffing is looking for an Assistant Deli Manager for a seafood company with 64 years of experience in the Baton Rouge area with a standard for providing expert customer service. The company specializes in the selling of live and boiled seafood as well as retail products. The position will pay in the range of $21-$23 per hour. This will be a direct hire position working full-time, 40-hours per week.

The position will be responsible for the supervision and performance (as needed) of the following positions:

  • Front serving line / counter
  • Back / Production area
  • Kitchen / Catering Area

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop, motivate, and lead a team of at least 40 employees.
  • Monitor the food and labor costs, budgets, and sales of products
  • Ensure quality employee job performance and compliance with operation rules and regulations
  • Maintain proper food preparation, storage, inventory, and presentation
  • Control vendor invoices and the food ordering system
  • Interview, hire, evaluate, discipline, train, and fire staff members
  • Manage customer complaints and employee issues
  • MUST be able to perform all duties of all employees in the deli

Position Requirements:

  • ServSafe Certification REQUIRED
  • Previous Food Service and Management experience is a MUST
  • Must be able to operate computer and associated software including Microsoft Office
