Floating Department Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

Snelling Staffing is looking for a Floating Department Manager for a seafood company with 64 years of experience in the Baton Rouge area with a standard for providing expert customer service. The company specializes in the selling of live and boiled seafood as well as retail products. The position will pay in the range of $22-$24 per hour. This will be a direct hire position working full-time, 40-hours per week.

The position will be responsible for floating between the position of Food Production Lead and Assistant Deli Manager as needed. The job duties for the positions include:

  • Training, evaluating, developing, and motivating employees
  • Ensuring production deadlines are met while managing budgets
  • Monitoring production performance and develop/implement actions plans to address areas of concern
  • Hiring, interviewing, discipling, firing staff and staying responsible for the overall effectiveness of their area of responsibility
  • Ensuring that quality and health and safety standards are met
  • MUST be able to perform duties of employees they are responsible for including deli personnel and food production team

Position Requirement:

  • MUST have ServSafe Certification
  • Previous Management/Leadership experience is REQUIRED
  • Experience in the food service industry is a MUST
  • Able to communicate effectively with employees and customers
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
  • MUST be able to operate a computer and subsequent products such as Microsoft Office
