Snelling Staffing is assisting a local workers’ compensation organization in acquiring a new Premium Auditor. The client company has been in Baton Rouge for over 30 years and has a foothold in eleven other states resulting in them recently being named one of the top 100 private companies. The position will be responsible for ensuring proper premiums are charged by performing audits of the insured’s records. The position will be paid in the salary range of about $40,000 to $43,000 including an extensive benefits package once taken permanently with the company.  The position will be full-time and work 37.5 hours per week.

Essential Functions:

• Tactfully and professionally assist agents and policyholders with understanding the results of an audit and resolves any disputes promptly.
• Ensure that audited payroll exposures are accurately classified within strict insurance guidelines.
• Report and communicate audit findings through detailed formal reports supported by audit work papers.
• Assist with making decisions on proper audit method assignments.
• Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as necessary including maintaining own assigned quota of audits

Necessary Qualifications:

• MUST have knowledge of general business, insurance, and accounting principles
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
• Previous Premium Audit experience preferred
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to effectively and independently manage own workload and exercise proper judgement
• Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office
• Ideal candidate will be self-motivated with an outgoing personality.
