Territory Sales Representative

JOB DESCRIPTION

Snelling Staffing is looking for an Outside Sales Representative for a wholesale flooring company local to the Baton Rouge area for over 65 years. This position will be responsible for developing accounts, growing product sales, and marketing products. This is a full-time, direct hire position working Monday through Friday. Pay will land between $37,000-$65,000 depending on experience for a starting pay with a sliding commission scale.

Territory Sales Representative Responsibilities:

  • Seek and establish qualified retail and commercial flooring accounts
  • Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing calls to existing or potential sales outlets
  • Communicate product lines and pricing to store sales personnel/management
  • Distribute and maintain current dealer price lists
  • Respond quickly to and resolve customer enquiries
  • Place and maintain product samples/display systems in all retail locations
  • Train retail personnel in all aspects of product liens
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of work experience in flooring/building products related industry
  • Familiarity with ceramic tile and other flooring products
  • Associate or Bachelor degree strongly preferred!
  • Strong Communication Skills!!
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
